Excise Department takes Pledge for Cleanliness on onset of Swachta Pakhwada

JAMMU: On the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada 2024, the Excise Department, Jammu and Kashmir took a pledge and rolled out schedule for the upcoming Swachta Pakhwada which is to be celebrated from August 1 to 15 with full vigour.
The pledge-taking ceremony was held in the presence of Excise Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma and Deputy Excise Commissioner Executive, Kusum Sharma alongside various officers and officials of the Excise Department.
During the ceremony, Excise Commissioner emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness not only in office space but also at home and in the community.
He highlighted that the pledge was a commitment to uphold the principles of cleanliness as espoused by Mahatma Gandhi.
He said that all of us should inspire others as well and work towards this mission with full intent.
The pledge was a collective commitment by the department to foster a cleaner and more hygienic environment, reinforcing the role of each individual in contributing to a cleaner society.
