Eviction notice

0 50

The BJP MLAs coming in the open against government order asking them to vacate the accommodation allotted by it, should have come voluntary from their end rather wait for some eviction orders. With no government in seat in Jammu and Kashmir and the Chief Minister’s family already vacated the accommodation allotted to them the partner in the government, BJP, should also have followed the way. Alas they remained stuck to the newly found name and fame and some of them being first timers could not digest the truth of missing the opportunity they got.  The Estates Department has issued eviction notices on 8th March directing them to vacate their official bungalows within a period of seven days. The BJP leaders also alleged “oblique motives” behind the move as scores of “allottees” were still occupying the ministerial bungalows for decades after they ceased to be ministers or legislators because of that some of the BJP MLAs are without official accommodation. They should vacate the government accommodation as early as possible as the government formation remains uncertain with PDP, the coalition partner is not happy to carry the BJP baggage with it. Political compulsion may force some of them to keep silent but as a practice anywhere once government of the day does not remain, elected ministers who get government accommodation have to vacate it within the stipulated time period or pay the market rent and continue to stay without creating much noise on the issue.
