JAMMU: Eleven-member Executive Committee of Jammu Club was elected tonight for the term 2016-18.
The elected Executive Committee members include Neeraj Puri (1868 votes), Er. Manjeet Kotwal (1851 votes), Rajesh Gupta (1838 votes), Manish Gupta (1824 votes), Dr. Bhupinder Singh Pathania (1753 votes), Sidharth Samnotra (1752 votes), Sanjay Kakkar (1704 votes), Dr. Nira Singh (1685 votes), Rajeev Gupta (1682 votes), Er. Kangan Bhagotra (1663 votes) and Er. Anil Verma (1596 votes). According to Returning Officer B.D Sharma (retd IAS), a total of 20 contestants filled the nomination forms, out of which six withdrew.
Finally, there were 14 contestants left in the fray for which election was held on Sunday.
The election was conducted in the presence of Election Advisors, Vinod Gupta and Shehnaz Goni. The members of the Club participated in the election process and exercised their voting right.
