BANDIPORA: The General Expenditure Observer for Bandipora, Sonawari and Gurez, Uday Bhan Tiwari on Wednesday convened a meeting of surveillance teams, flying squad and political parties of Assembly Constituencies of Bandipora and Sonawari.
The District Election Officer, Bandipora was also present in the meeting.
The Observer was informed about the election expenditure through PowerPoint presentation. The Observer directed the concerned officers to ensure that the instructions of Election Commission of India are adhered in letter and spirit. He also threw light on filling up of formats set by the Election Commission of India while covering the election events, political rallies and meetings, adding that every video footage to be preserved as evidence in the election folder. He said that shadow observation registers where all the details of expenditure incurred by the candidates is accounted shall be maintained properly.
