BARAMULLA: Election Expenditure (EE) observer for Pattan, Sangrama and Baramulla constituencies, Samsher Ali on Saturday visited Pattan Assembly constituency and reviewed the preparedness of forthcoming Assembly elections.
Observer convened a meeting with Returning officer and Assistant Returning officer Pattan during which he discussed the arrangements and election related issues with them. District election officer Baramulla Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone was also present during the Meeting.
The observer on the occasion stressed for maintaining proper records of the expenditure made by the political parties and candidates during election campaign. He impressed upon the concerned officers to ensure to maintenance of shadow observation registers. He stressed for implementation for Model Code of Conduct and other direction of Election Commission of India.
The district election officer on the occasion also discussed with the observer and briefed him about strategies made for smooth conduct of Assembly elections in the district.
