Educational institutions celebrate Baisakhi, Dr Ambedkar birthday

JAMMU: Various educational institutions celebrated Baisakhi festival and Birth Anniversary of Dr B.R Ambedkar with fervour.
RM Public School celebrated Baisakhi and Birthday of Dr. B.R Ambedkar in a function. The function started with ‘Anaj Pujan ‘ by the Chief Guest, Rameshwar Mengi, Chairman of RM Public School and Special Guest, Rita Mengi along with Principal Ravinder Kour and Vice Principal Jaisbir Singh.
The students of Pre-Primary Wing were attired in colourful dresses and presented colourful cultural programme. The Vice Principal, Jasbir Singh appreciated the efforts of the students and staff members and gave wishes to all.
KC International School celebrated the festival of Baisakhi in the school premises in which a cultural Baisakhi dance was performed by the students. A poem was also recited by Manju Gupta. To highlight the importance of the day talk was presented by Himakshi Wali. The Chief Guest, Vickrant Mahajan, the motivational speaker, who once again motivated the students towards super positivity yet again spreading the theme ‘Yes Thank you Universe’.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, celebrated Baisakhi, Birthday of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and Ramnavami in the school premises in the presence of Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer, Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Co-ordinator Kawaljeet Kour and staff.
Managing Director said that the festival of Baisakhi has tremendous religious significance. He also threw light on the life of Dr.B.R Ambedkar who was the architect of our Constitution.
KIDZEE, a pre-school of ZEE Learn Limited, celebrated Baisakhi, Birthday of Dr. B.R Ambedkar and Ramnavami at its branches- Anand Nagar Bohri, Talab Tillo, Gandhi Nagar and Channi Himmat with great enthusiasm and joy.
A special assembly was conducted in which the small toddlers actively participated in dance and song competitions.
Madhuvan Kids Playway celebrated Baisakhi. Students from Daycare and Playway Wing took part in the celebrations. Amrit Choudhary, Principal of the School threw light on significance of Baisakhi and illustrated that Baisakhi is considered to be an extremely important festival in India for number of reasons.
The students of British International School Jammu celebrated Baisakhi festival with great pomp and show. To mark the importance of this day, the school was dolled up and festooned with a yellow theme and a grand celebration was held in the school today and many activities were planned in the school premises. The school echoed with fervour and gaiety as the children made beautiful cards and were overwhelmingly beatific with the concept and even wore yellow clothes to mark the occasion.
Casper Play Way School, Ganesh Nager, Patoli, celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and enthusiasm. Tiny Tots came to school in joyous mood dressed up in traditional Dogri/Punjabi attire. Kids danced, sang songs and enjoyed Halwa served to them.
Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua also celebrated Baisakhi. They performed various dances and skits. Some children and teachers expressed their views on importance of Baisakhi and how it is celebrated. Children of Pre-Nursery to Prep did colouring activity on the worksheets related to Baisakhi. Principal Shuchita Gupta showed children the crops and explained them about harvesting.
The festival exuberance left everybody spellbound in the campus of Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib. The harvest festival was celebrated with full fervour and gaiety.
Director, Satvinder Saini, the Principal, Shibu Mathew and Vice Principal Vikesh Sandhal applauded the efforts of teachers for inculcating and infusing amongst the children the relevance of this festival which is the harbinger of happiness, love and togetherness.
Doon International School celebrated Baisakhi, Ambedkar Jayanti and Ramnavmi. The students presented vibrant and colourful programme depicting all the festivals which included Bhangra, poem recitation, soulful Shabada and speeches.
The Chairman, G.N Tantray appreciated the efforts of the enthusiastic students presenting such a great show. Principal, Vikesh Kaur applauded the students and asked them to celebrate all festivals with great enthusiasm and energy and respect to promote harmony and brotherhood throughout the world.
