Educational institutes celebrate Janamashtmi

AKHNOOR: Maharaja Harisingh DAV Centenary Public School Akhnoor organised various competitions at mass level on the eve of Janamashtmi under the supervisions of CCA Incharges.
Students of classes I and II participated in flute decoration competition in which Gulab Singh and Pratham Sharma got first position, Akashi Sharma and Niharika got second position where as Vishali Bhagat and Ruchita got third position. Students of classes III and IV participated in Crown Decoration competition in which Sourav Sharma and Abhimanyu got first position, Babli Langeh and Krishika Sharma got second position and Himanshu and Samarth Dev Singh got third position.
The students of classes V and VI participated in kite making competition in which Navya Verma and Aashiya got first position, Sourav Sharma and Rajvansh Sharma got second position and Anjali Devi and Sneha Sharma got third position. Students of classes VII to X participated in Jhula making competition in which Pratap House got first position, Ranbir House got second position where as Gulab House got third position.
Principal of the School Alok Betab along with other dignitaries was also present on the occasion.
KATHUA: In order to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna and Independence Day impressive function was organised in Bachpan Wing of Tiny Scholars School Kathua. All children came in traditional dresses. Some boys came dressed as Krishna and some girls came dressed as Radha. Some of them became Devki, Vasudev, Yashoda and Kans. while some performed roles of Indian freedom fighters. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colourful. Children danced on the tunes of Garba. The students presented Jhankis depicting events from Krishna’s life like Krishna Janam, Makhan Chori and Matki Todh. These events were organised to mark the mischievous nature of Bal Gopal. During the event Maiya Jashoda tied Kanha with tree in order to control devilment and naughtiness became the center of attraction.
Principal Manisha Gupta wished the children on the occasion. Students of different classes played roles of Mahatma Gandhi, Subash Chander Bose, Bharat Mata, Rani Luxmi Bhai. Students also performed on patriotic songs.
