DSS Youth Wing announces its committee for Tehsil Jammu (Urban)

JAMMU: Incharge Youth Wing of Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) J&K, Gambir Dev Singh, while addressing the media persons, disclosed that to carry out the activities of the Sabha effectively in the city of Jammu, a separate committee of Youth Wing for Tehsil Jammu (Urban) has been constituted with Pawan Sharma as President, Partap Singh Jamwal, Rahul Gupta – Vice Presidents, Ishan Gupta – General Secretary, Ritesh Langer – Cashier, Vyom Gupta – Secretary I/C Social Media, and Parteek Raj, Naveen Sharma and Gagan Sharma as Members.
While extending a welcome to the newly nominated office bearers and members of the Youth Wing Tehsil Jammu (Urban), Gambhir Dev explained to them the glorious history and responsibilities of the Sabha.
He asked them to remain fully conversant with the day – to – day evolving socio-economic and environmentally important scenario of Jammu region and always take lead in activities that are helpful for the common masses.
Singh, Incharge Youth Wing DSS, referred to the struggle of Dogra Sadar Sabha, J&K for restoration of original glory to Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and other places of historical and cultural importance in Jammu region, revival of Dogra Culture and holding of Jammu festivals, putting total curbs on the drug-menace prevailing in the society particularly amongst the youth, throwing open the General N.C. Wij road passing from the front of the Civil Secretariat Main Gates for facilitating general public and ensuring foolproof security to all citizens of Jammu region, who are traditionally peace loving.
He said that administration should keep strict vigil over the activities of anti-national and anti-social elements that may be operating in the area, especially during the forthcoming festival seasons and Shri Amarnath Yatra.
He made a strong appeal to the concerned authorities to deal with nefarious elements with a heavy hand and pleaded for maintenance of peace and harmony in the society at all costs.
He also made a strong appeal to the UT administration and the authorities responsible for prompt upkeep and maintenance of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (No. 44) to facilitate foolproof movement of vehicles by timely pressing into service adequate machinery and manpower along the highway so that smooth and uninterrupted Amarnath Ji Yatra and flow of traffic are ensured during the ensuing monsoon season. He emphasized the need to take extra care in the matter because the number of yatries is expected to be the largest this season since last many years, whereas the likelihood of severe landslides due to intense and frequent monsoon rains is many times more. He added that the government should also be ready with a contingent plan to accommodate the yatries comfortably along the yatra route at suitably identified/constructed/ established shelter houses, in case they get stranded mid-way. He further suggested that all the yatries being the devotees of Lord Shiva, free bus service should be operated for different sacred shrines of Lord Shiva.
Expressing gratitude for their appointment, Pawan Sharma and other office bearers and members of the newly constituted committee of Youth Wing assured full support and cooperation to the senior members and I/c of Youth wing in implementing programmes and policies of the Sabha.
