RAJOURI: Police on Monday arrested one drug peddler and recovered 2,736 intoxicating capsules from his possession. According to reports, a random search of vehicles was carried by a joint team of SOG and Police Station Rajouri in view of Independence Day security drill. During checking of vehicles, police recovered 2,736 Spasmo Proxyvon Plus capsules from a Maruti car bearing registration No JK11A 2524. Police arrested the drug peddler and seized the intoxicating capsules and Maruti car. The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Sarvat Rasool, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Dharal, Rajouri. A case FIR no 334 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigation taken up. During the preliminary investigation the drug peddler revealed that he had bought the consignment from Roorke with an aim to sell it among the youth of Rajouri District. The recovery was made by SHO Rajouri, Ajay Chib and DySP Hqrs Jaswant Singh.
