R S PURA: Police on Wednesday arrested a driver of a load carrier and recovered 1 kg poppy straw from his possession.
As per the details, a team of Police Post Kuliyan led by ASI Yougal on specific information laid a Naka at Kulian Post. During checking, one auto load carrier tried to dodge the Naka party but was successfully chased. During search, about 1 kg of poppy straw was from the vehicle which was concealed under the driver’s seat. Driver identified as Shanti Swaroop son of Sain Dass resident of Chohala was arrested and a case vide FIR- 83/17 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered against him.
