RAMBAN: Driver of a truck died on the spot when the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Chamalwas area of Ramban district, on Ramban-Banihal National Highway on Saturday.
According to a report, a truck bearing registration number PBO5G -5352 was on its way from Punjab to Srinagar, skidded-off the road and fell into a 300 feet deep gorge at Chamalwas area of Ramban district today morning, resulting in driver died on the spot. Police immediately rushed to the spot and rescued him from the ill-fated vehicle and shifted him to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Ranjeet Singh (45) son of Parkash Singh resident fo Dashnash Nager, Ludhiana. Police has registered a case in this regard.
