Drabu visits pellet victims at AIIMS, assures support

NEW DELHI: On the directions of the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Minister for Finance, Dr Haseeb Drabu on Wednesday visited Safdarjung Eye Centre at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here to enquire about the welfare of five Kashmiri youth including a girl, who are undergoing treatment for pellet injuries.
Those undergoing treatment at AIIMS include Insha of Sedhou, Shopian, Asif Ahmad Sheikh of Sopore, Junaid Ahmad of Qazigund and Firdous Ahmad Dar of Sopore.
The minister was told that all the medical expenses and food was being provided free of cost to the patients and their attendants in AIIMS.
Assuring all possible support from the State Government, the minister assured the relatives of the injured youth that the government would come up with a special rehabilitation plan for young men and women who have been disabled in recent law and order situation.
