Dear Editor,
In the unrest in Kashmir following militant Burhan Wani’s killing, our forces have become the target of stone-pelters. Our jawans and officers become easy target of mobs as the government hesitates to take strict action to keep its vote bank intact. The jawans can’t even use their weapons to defend themselves, fearing disciplinary action. We should not subject our brave disciplined forces to such humiliation. It is the duty of the army chief to stand with his men in case they are unnecessarily harassed by the government for any incident.
