JAMMU: On the occasion of Dogri Recognition Day, a Sammelan of Dogri Scholars was held on the subject ‘Dogri Parhne Te Prhane Di Chanotiyan’, in which the scholars from whole of the country participated.
Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir School Education Board Dr Veena Pandita Koul was the Chief Guest of the function.
The Sammelan commenced by making public the article of senior journalist Yogita Yadav published in special issue of Sarthak Nabya on Jammu and Kashmir. Eminent writer Dr Ashok Kumar Khajuria presented the paper which was discussed critically.
Many other writers also spoke on the occasion. Jurtu Thakur, Pawan Verma, Shivani Anand, Santosh Sangra, Sonia Upadhya, Vijay Thakur, Krishna Prem, Sunder Rani, Sushma Rani, Sushil Begana and others read out Dogri poems.
