JAMMU: To promote revival of Dogra culture, Dogra Confederation of Art, Culture and Heritage on Tuesday presented Lohri Chajja, the art of which has been designed and prepared by Randhir Singh Raipuria, which shall be launched on the occasion of Lohri festival at CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, here on 13th January.
The said Lohri Chajja along with a team of Dogra Dancers (Heren) shall take a round of Old City of Jammu to revive the depleted culture of Dogras, Founder of the Organization Anil K Padha told reporters.
He said this year besides Dogra food festival a plan is under consideration to organise an Inter School Competition of Lohri Chajja and Dandia from next year wherein awards and honours shall also be given to the winners.
He requested State Government to take back this Lohri Chajja to its original glory where Jammu was represented at Republic Day Parade at New Delhi, long time ago.
Others who are associated with this confederation and present on the occasion were Chatter Pal, President Dogri Sanstha, Jammu, O.P Bakshi, Jammu Samajik Manen, Janak Khajuria, Young Blood Association, Vijay Rana, J&K State Integration and Public Relations Society, Sadiq Khan, ISBTI, J&K Chapter and Randeep Singh Langeh, Jammu Samajik Manch and Gopal Pandey.
