REASI: In connection with election-2014 in the district, the District Magistrate, Reasi, in exercise of powers vested upon him under section 144 CrPc, has ordered that there shall be complete ban on carrying of licensed arms/weapons in the district till completion of election process.
Directing the Senior Superintendent of Police of the district to take all precautionary measures to ensure peaceful, free and fair elections in the district, he called for maintaining strict vigil and thorough checking of all types of vehicles so that no undesirable element enter in the district with arms and ammunition to disturb law and order. He asked that the checking of the vehicles should be carried out at all entry points within the district till the completion of the election process.
