SAMBA: In order to review the poll preparedness of District Samba which will go to poll on 14th of December, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu chaired a high- level meeting of officers of civil, police and paramilitary forces on Thursday.
While taking detailed review of all pre-poll arrangements in district Samba, the Divisional Commissioner impressed upon the officers to take all necessary steps required for the smooth conduct of elections. He called for close coordination between the concerned agencies for achieving the tangible results on ground.
He also interacted with the Zonal and Sector Magistrates and called for a well-knit strategy to deal with any sort of untoward incidents during poll process. He directed the District Election Officers to ensure all necessary facilities to polling parties in far flung areas during the election process.
IGP Jammu, Rajesh Kumar also interacted with officers and emphasised on adhering to security grid and procedures, while maintaining extra vigil on the situation during the visits of VVIPs in the district in connection with the election rallies in the coming days, he added.
the meeting was attended by Shakeel A. Baig, DIG JK Range, Anil Magotra, SSP Samba, Vivek Sharma ADDC, Inderjeet, ADC and other senior officers of civil and police administration.
