Div Com, IGP review election preparedness in Poonch

POONCH: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu and Inspector General of Police, Rajesh Yadav on Thursday visited Poonch and reviewed the preparedness for the forthcoming Assembly elections scheduled to be held in Poonch District on 2nd December.
While chairing meeting at DC Office Complex, Divisional Commissioner stressed on the conduct of free, fair and peaceful elections in the district and emphasised on the coordinated efforts of civil administration, police and paramilitary forces for security of the voters.
Shantmanu said that all the agencies— PWD (R&B), GREF, PMGSY and JKPCC should augment their men and machinery so that all roads remain clear during election days. He further emphasised that all the members of polling party should travel together and forces should check all the polling stations before entering into it to avoid any security threat.
Earlier, District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Poonch M.H Malik gave a detailed account of the activities and preparations of the District Electoral Administration regarding Communication Plan, Training Management Plan, Material Management Plan, MCC Management, Transport Plan and Expenditure Management in the district in a power point presentation.
