Director GYSS Navin Agarwal inaugurates indoor rock climbing facility at KC Sports Club

JAMMU: Only one of its own kind in the State of J and K, the indoor rock climbing wall inside the Gym of KC Sports Club was inaugurated on Saturday in the presence of members of the club and a gathering of adventure sports enthusiasts of Jammu.
Director General of Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal was the Chief Guest who performed the ribbon cutting ceremony to throw the facility officially open to the public.
After the ceremony, Agarwal took a tour of the Club housing an ultra modern gym, two activity halls and an upcoming indoor swimming pool on the ground floor.
He was impressed with the world class standard of the facilities available and praised the management of the club for providing the people of Jammu an all-weather indoor swimming pool which, he felt, would prove to be of immense value in training the youth of the State for competitive swimming throughout the year.
After that, he visited the brightly-lit air-conditioned indoor Cricket Hall on the first floor spread over an area of about 16000 sq ft and equipped with nine batting and bowling lanes and automatic bowling machines. The fully operational Hall is now offering intensive coaching facilities in the game in collaboration with Yuvraj Singh’s Centre of Excellence to a fairly large number of young Cricket enthusiasts.
Agarwal was greatly pleased with the facility and felt that it was the best possible means for organising night time indoor Cricket events and activities.
Agarwal congratulated the management of the Club for creating a world class indoor sports complex that would go a long way in promoting fitness among the people of Jammu and preparing the youth of for competitive sports in the most congenial indoor environment.
