JAMMU: In the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Dr. Hari Dutt Shishu seeking the quashing of circular dated 14th August, 2014 issued by Secretary J and K State Board of Technical Education whereby provisional selection list of the candidates for admission in three years diploma courses against left over seats was issued after inviting applications through advertisements from candidates for the said course and this selection process runs parallel and simultaneous to the selection process already initiated by BOPEE through entrance examination as the only authorized competent authority to conduct entrance and select the candidates for the said professional courses.
A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Virdender Singh and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Adv Rajinder Singh Jamwal for the PIL issued notice to Chief Secretary, Secretary to Govt Tehcial Education, Secretary J and K State Board of Technical Education and Secretary J and K State Board of Professional Entrance Examination returnable within week’s time.
