Digvijay lauds PM for doing ‘”good work” in flood-hit J-K
NEW DELHI: For the second time this week, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for doing “good work” in dealing with the massive flood crisis in Jammu and Kashmir and for offering to help Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
“In Jammu and Kashmir, the Centre and the State have done good work,” Singh, a known detractor of Modi, told reporters here on Thursday.
“I would also praise Modi for offering to help Pakistan- Occupied Kashmir,” he said, adding that politics should not be there on such issues.
Singh had also praised Modi on 8th September.
“Commend the rescue by DMRF, Army, Police and Security Forces in J&K and also GOI and PM for prompt action and reaching out to people in PoK,” Singh had tweeted on 8th September.
Congress spokesperson Salman Khurshid had yesterday said, “AICC will be supportive of anybody who will be doing humanitarian duties.”
He was replying to questions about Singh and his party colleague Ghulam Nabi Azad complimenting Modi for the “prompt” relief work. (PTI)
