DGPC elections: Wazir announces five candidates

JAMMU: For fair and transparent selection of candidates for the elections of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to be held on 8th July, 2015, core committees comprising of prominent and religious persons are being formed at each District Level in entire state. This was stated by Chairman, J and K Gurdwara Parbandak Board, T.S Wazir in a press conference, here today.
The core committee comprising of Rajinder Singh, Narinder Singh Khalsa, Giyan Singh, Rattandeep Singh Anand, Manjeet Singh, Ranjit Singh, Manjeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Mohinder Singh, Rajinder Singh Wazir, Amarjit Singh, Kuldip Singh and Amirjit Singh.
The core committee for Jammu District after proper consultation and scrutiny, Wazir said, has finalized the names of Harjinder Singh Raina from Digiana, Surjit Singh from Gadi Garh, Attar Singh from Gandhi Nagar, Manmohan Singh from Guru Nanak Nagar and Mohinder Singh from Akhnoor.
He further said soon remaining six candidate of Jammu District will be announced and also a vision based manifesto will also be released for the overall religious and political upliftment of Sikh Community in Jammu and Kashmir.
Wazir also expressed serious concern over the arbitrary delay in providing updated electoral roles and other formalities by concerned administration and said consequently there is urgent need to extend the time limit for scrutiny etc. of electoral roles.
