Nowshera: A public deputation met Tehsildar Nowshera against overcharging in passenger vehicles. The deputation led by Choudhary Tara Chand informed Tehsildar Mohd Riaz that the passenger vehicle operators are charging fare from the passengers according to their wish. Choudhary said that the four wheeler Auto which earlier used to charge Rs 10 from Nowshera to Manpur Dhanaka, are now charging Rs 15.
The Tehsildar assured the deputation that he would obtain the list of fares from ARTO office and would ensure that no vehicle operator charges more than the fixed fare failing which proper action will be taken against such vehicle operators.
