JAMMU: Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Vinod Zutshi in presence of Chief Electoral Officer, Umang Narula flagged off a campaign vehicle namely “Democracy Express” under programme SVEEP of Election Commission of India in District Jammu under the banner “Wake Up Jammu” campaign.
This vehicle is decorated with the motivational slogans and pictures promoting voting awareness and also provides facility for online checking of names in electoral roll as well on spot registration of electors.
This vehicle shall also carry EVMs and other promotional material which shall be displayed at various locations to educate voters about electoral process and also motivate them in reaching polling stations on the date of polls. Any person who approaches for registration shall be provided facility for online registration as well as manual filing of Form 6 and necessary support and guidance shall be provided by the time moving in this vehicle.
