Delhi wrestler Joginder lifts Mathwar Kesari Dangal title

KATRA: Hind Kesari, Bharat Kesari, National Champion International Wrestler Joginder of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi lifted Seventh Mathwar Kesari Dangal title 2016 by defeating two times Olympian Wrestler Levan Berip Berianpze of Georgia in the main bout that lasted for 24 minutes at Baba Ballo Dev Shethan in village Mathwar, Tehsil Akhnoor.
The Vishal Dangal was organised by Mathwar Dangal Committee under the chairmanship of Baba Yash Paul Sharma in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Association President Shiv Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Ram Paul Sharma.
In all, 32 bouts were played in this one day Dangal.
Speaker, J and K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta was the Chief Guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winner and runner-up wrestlers. Joint Secretary J and K Sports Council who is also President J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function. Industry Minister Chander Parkash Ganga, MLA Akhnoor Rajeev Sharma, MLA Nagrota Devender Singh Rana, former Minister Sham Lal Sharma, Additional ADGP Dilbagh Singh, Rajinder Singh Chib Vice-Chairman Kissan Morcha, Raspal Verma Vice-Chairman OBC Morcha and Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh were the Guests of Honour.
Winner of main bout wrestler Joginder was awarded with cash prize of Rs 60,000 along with Gurj (Gadda) and Patha by Baba Yash Paul Sharma, MLA Devender Singh Rana, former Minister Sham Lal Sharma and Shiv Kumar Sharma while runner-up wrestler Leven Berip Berianpze of Gergria was awarded with cash prize of Rs 50,000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Sarpanch Ashok Kumar Sharma and Ram Paul Sharma.
Second main bout was won by Pravesh who defeated Giorgi Sakandelpze from Georgia. The winner was awarded with cash prize of Rs 50,000 while runner-up wrestler got Rs 40,000. Third bout was won by Mohanu of Chattershal Stadium Delhi who defeated Benia Min of J and K Police. Mohanu was cash awarded with Rs 45,000 while runner-up Benia Min got Rs 40,000. Fourth bout was won by Parveen Bholla of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi who defeated wrestler Bhupinder of Ajnala. Parveen was awarded with Rs 45,000 while runner-up wrestler Bhupinder got Rs 20,000.
Others who were also present on the occasion-Retd. SP Prithvi Raj Sharma, Social Activist, Wrestling Promoter Ram Paul Sharma, Arjun Awardee Ashok Kumar, Varinder Badyal, Om Parkash Verma, Sat Paul, Sarpanch Babibishan and Mulk Raj Sharma.
Members and other officials who helped for the smooth conduct of this dangal were Baba Yash Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Ashok Kumar Sharma, Tilak Raj Sharma, Naresh
Kumar (Pappu Lakri) Deepak Wazir, Sohan Singh, Ashok nKumar, Ashok Dhakha, Jagbir Singh, Mulk Raj Sharma, Ramnik Nawadha, Varinder Badyal, Om Parkash Verma, Sat Paul and Murli Dhar (Munna).
