DODA: Doda Development Front (DDF) hailed the recent statement of MoS PMO Dr Jitendra Singh regarding setting up of Cluster University in the District under Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA)- a centrally sponsored scheme.
In a press statement issued here, President of DDF Ishtiaq Ahmed Dev hailed the intervention and statement made by Dr Jitendra Singh yesterday during his visit to Marmat (Doda) where he directed the Deputy Commissioner Doda to immediately formulate a comprehensive project proposal under RUSA for establishment of its Cluster University in Doda.
Dev said that the establishment of Cluster University under RUSA would surely streamline the education system in the district and students from far flung areas of the District would also get better and higher education at their door steps.
It is important to mention here that DDF has been demanding opening of Cluster University under RUSA at Doda since many years and had held scores of protests, meetings, Dharnas in this regard besides the DDF has demanding creation of separate administrative division at Doda, setting up of High Court Bench, separate JK BOSE Office in Doda, BEd College, upgradation of GDC Doda to PG College etc.
The DDF also thanked the local MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar and District President PDP Shahab ul Haque Batt for this personal intervention in raising the issue of RUSA University for Doda with Chief Minister, Education Minister and other concerned.
