UDHAMPUR: A vehicle escorting cavalcade of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur on Monday hit a car near Ambhiaar on National Highway and escaped from the scene.
According to a report, the Deputy Commissioner on receiving the information about bus mishap was going to visit the accident site to take stock of the situation. The DC’s cavalcade was being escorted by a Gypsy which hit an Alto car at Ambhiaar from behind damaging the car. In a bizarre move, the driver of the escort vehicle fled from the spot without bothering about the fate of damaged vehicle. The onlookers were surprised and anguished over the indifferent behaviour of the driver.
