DC listens to people’s grievances

POONCH: To redress public grievances, District Administration Poonch held a grievance redressal camp at Dak Bunglow in Mendhar Sub-Division.
Deputy Commissioner, Nisar Ahmed Wani, Senior Superintendent of Police, J.S Johar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Basharat Hussain along with the Executive Engineers of PDD, PWD, PHE and I and FC, other district officers, sub-divisional officers besides Sarpanchs, Panchs and locals in large number attended the camp.
Problems pertaining to water and power supply, availability of ration, rising crime, traffic management, restoration of roads damaged due to recent rains, clearance of liability under MGNREGA and other developmental works besides adulteration of food stuff and sub-standard medicine and spurious drugs were vociferously raised by the people.
The Deputy Commissioner responded to all the concerns and demands of the people and assured that all their grievances will be addressed and genuine demands met. The Deputy Commissioner took on spot decisions on some issues and passed on specific instructions to the concerned officers and others.
While speaking on the occasion, Wani sought their cooperation in efficient delivery of public services and in resolving issues of public importance. Senior Superintendent of Police, J.S Johar also spoke on the occasion.
