JAMMU: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Bhagwati Parshad and others for setting up of the Trauma Centre on the National Highway at Kathanu opposite ITI Sunderbani, which land was previously under the occupation of J and K Industries and which is at present in possession of Police Department, being the ideal location for establishment of Trauma Centre, which has been sanctioned for the area.
That the petitioners have further sought directions to the respondents take immediate adequate steps in the direction of establishment of Trauma centre so that the people of Sunderbani Tehsil of District Rajouri as also various commuters are provided specialized medical treatment in the said Trauma centre. Division Bench after hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Parimoksh Seth appearing for the PIL, issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Health and Medical Education Department, Director Health Services Jammu, CMO Rajouri, BDO Health and Family Welfare Officer Sunderbani, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri and DGP J and K returnable within four weeks also seeks response from next date of hearing.
