Cabinet likely to meet on Monday
SRINAGAR: The Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) on regularization of casual and daily rated workers has recommended the regularisation of the workers, who have completed 10 years of service. The matter has been listed for consideration of the Cabinet likely to be held on Monday.
The Cabinet Sub Committee which met under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather, has approved the regularization of casual and need-based workers engaged between 1994 and 2005, working in Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Estates and other departments in the state. It has also recommend that such of the workers completing ten years tenure henceforth shall become eligible for regularization from time-to-time.
The government had sought details of all the casual workers engaged by all the departments.
Minister for Public Health Engineering Sham Lal Sharma and Minister for Planning Ajay Sadhotra attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the State Cabinet is likely to meet on Monday again. Besides the approval for regularisation of casual workers, the Cabinet is likely to order transfers in the administration.
