CS reviews flood situation with DCs ; Directs administration to remain alert
SRINAGAR: In view of the continuous heavy rain fall and flood like situation developing in many districts of the State, Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey held a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners and received brief regarding the situation.
Chief Secretary impressed upon the officers to take all necessary precautionary measures and remain vigilant to tackle any untoward incident. He asked the Deputy Commissioners to extend immediate relief measures the affected people.
Meanwhile, at several places, the District Administration rescued people who were stranded due to sudden increase in the water level in various rivers and streams.
