Crusher owners not to sell Bajri
STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: The Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) which met here on Sunday unanimously decided not to sell their crushed products to anyone after its meeting of the general body which met here under the chairmanship of its president Vikram Randhawa.
In a press communiqué issued here, the SCOA decided to stop sale of its products to anyone and the decision has come in the wake of implementation of SRO-105, which was issued on 31st March during Governor’s Rule, imposing blanket ban on any sort of mining from anywhere resulting in this vital industry coming to a standstill.
The press communiqué read that the general body meet was attended by more than hundred unit holders from across Jammu and Kashmir in which a threadbare discussion was held regarding the imposition of SRO-105 and after prolonged discussion all the members of the association strongly condemned the negative attitude of the government and extended full support to the decision of its president Ch. Vikram Randhawa of not selling any product to anyone. The SCOA said that they will closely monitor that their decision is implemented in full spirit by the members of the association.
The supplies to the government department were stopped with immediate effect to build pressure for the revocation of the anti industrial SRO.
The SCOA further appealed to all its members to abide by the decision and not to succumb to the pressure building tactics of the government which it termed as having anti industrial policies forcing millions to go jobless in a trouble torn State.
Pertinent to mention here that MES Contractors Association and Hot Mixing Plants Association has already extended full support to the SCOA. Those present in the meeting include Sonam Deep Singh, Arshad Malik, Anil Gaind, K.K.Bakhri, Raju Parray, Muzaffar Jan, Rafiq Ahmed, Shamsher Choudhary and Bharat Singh.
