JAMMU: The new body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Pracheen Marg Pavitra Charri Yatra has been constituted with an objective to promote heritage route to Katra with promotion of tourism, employment and heritage sites on the oldest route which is 20 kms short to Katra in comparison to NH-I Route from Jammu.
During the meeting, Kuldeep Luthra was elected as President while Kartar Chand was elected as Vice President of the body. Others thus elected were Jagdish Raj as General Secretary, Uttam Singh as Cashier and Lal G Loda as Press Secretary.
Jai Pujari of Kol Kandoli Mata Management with consent/willingness of all the residents of Nagrota, Jagti, Marh-Drabi, Bamyal and Jammu also participated in the discussion as its members. The participants decided that the Charri Yatra will start from Kot Kandoli Nagrota at 8:00 AM and reach at Oli Mandir Deva Mai Bamyal at 2:00 PM. They appealed to all Sewaks, government agencies and general public to participate in the Yatra with great fervour.
