Court denies bail in NDPS case

JAMMU: Session Court rejected the bail application of a narco smuggler who was allegedly involved in NDPS Case.
First Additional Sessions Judge Jammu M.A Chowdhary after hearing APP Ajay Singh Manhas rejected the bail application of one Parshotam Kumar, son of late Krishan lal resident of H.No 102, Sector No.5, Vikas Nagar Jammu who was allegedly involved in NDPS Case and was arrested by the Bakshi Nagar Police.
The court observed that drug addiction causes immense human distress and the illegal production and distribution of drugs have spawned crime and violence worldwide.
No part of the world is free from the curse of drug trafficking and drug addiction. Millions of drug addicts, all over the world, are leading miserable lives, between life and death.
Drug abuse has led to a detrimental impact on the society. It has led to increase in the crime rate. With most drug users being in the productive age, the loss in terms of human potential is incalculable, causing damage to physical, psychological, moral and intellectual growth. With these observations court rejected the bail application.
