REASI: Police constable among three were arrested on Sunday along with the cash amounting Rs.1,63,400 earned from sale and purchase of drugs.
According to a report, acting on a specific input, a special team of District Police Reasi succeeded in recovery of 50 mgm opium, cash Rs.1,63,400 which was earned from the sale and purchase of drugs, small digital weighing machine from the possession of Gurcharan Singh son of Romal Singh resident of Degree College Road Udhampur (Constable in Police Department), Kunal Pandoh son of Varinder Pandoh resident of W.No.8 Reasi and Mohan Lal son of Gogi Ram resident of Kund Khanyari Tehsil Pouni. All the accused have been arrested and recovered 50 mgm opium and cash Rs.1,63400 which was earned from the sale and purchase of drugs and small digital weighing machine have been seized.
A case vide FIR No. 96/2016 under section 8/18/62 NDPS Act, was registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation of the case is in progress.
