Dear Editor,
The logic is simple: If the ‘ghar wapsi’ or the re-conversion of Hindus from other faiths to Hinduism is bad and non-secular, so too is the conversion of gullible Hindus to other religions. Where were the secular parties who are now crying out aloud, when thousands of Hindus were converted to Christianity and Islam in the past?
Also, the right to propagate one’s religion does not confer a person the right to bring another into one’s religious fold by force or temptation. The campaign against re-conversion defies logic. It is nothing but vote-bank politics.
