The Congress’s prospects in the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election is perfect to the hilt but the significance of expanding Congress scion Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s role as the party’s star poll campaigner is really important.
On the face of it, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who has a clean image, coupled with versatile actor-turned politician Raj Babbar who is an immaculate public persona, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s (expected) elevation as the Party President and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as the chief poll campaigner, is the old grand party’s best bet for Uttar Pradesh.
This combination will seemingly ameliorate the Congress’s prospects. Above all, politics is known for the last-minute bizarre twists and turns making possible impossible and vice versa. Moreover, all parities in fray will have their trump cards. Let’s wait and see what way the political cookie crumbles!
