Computer literacy programme concludes

JAMMU: First phase of seven days computer literacy programme for DIET faculty organised by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Jammu, concluded here on Sunday.
The workshop was inaugurated by Director School Education, Jammu, R.A Inqallabi on 3rd November 2014 at SIE Jammu in presence of Joint Director (Trainings)/Principal SIE Jammu, H.R Pakhroo, Principal DIET Jammu, Mohinder Singh and other faculty members of SIE and DIET Jammu.
Around 26 faculty members of DIET Jammu including seven HoDs, 18 lecturers and a teacher attended the training programme. During the programme, the faculty was oriented on use of computers in various spheres of life along with its use in teaching learning process and their capacity building.
The programme was co-ordinated by Omesh Khar, HoD DIET Jammu and Rajiv Abrol, HoD DIET Jammu acted as Associated Programme Co-ordinator.
Rajinder Kumar, Research Officer, SIE Jammu, Ravinder Jamwal, Lecturer DIET and Akash Khajuria, Teacher SIE acted as the resource persons while Dinesh Gupta Senior Assistant (Computer Trained) helped the participants in practical sessions during the training.
S.K Raina Field Advisor SIE, Jammu, was the Chief Guest on the valedictory function, who while interacting with the participants discussed about the computer-literacy and its importance in present scenario.
Principal DIET Jammu, Mohinder Singh emphasised that whatever is learnt during this workshop must be strengthened at their own ends and should also be used in teaching learning process.
