JAMMU: Government SPMR College of Commerce defeated Mahant Bachiter Singh College (MBS) to sail into the next round of the Inter-College Men’s Lawn Tennis Tournament, organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, on the campus courts here on Monday.
It was a 3-0 win for Commerce College team. The Results: Singles: Nippun beat Sameer 6-3. Doubles: Vinay and Mayank defeated Sameer and Abshishek 6-0. Singles: Sawant blanked Abhishek 6-4.
Meanwhile, in another scheduled match of the day, GGM Science College got walkover Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura. Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Deepak Singh, Ravish Vaid and Gourav Sharma.
