JAMMU: Government SPMR College of Commerce lifted the annual Inter-college Men’s Hockey trophy outplaying the combined side of Post Graduate (PG) Arts 5-1 in the final played on the campus grounds, here on Tuesday.
Balmeet Singh remained star striker, who sounded the board twice in the 15th and 50th minute of the match. Rajinder Singh (13th), Randeep Singh (32nd) and Pushpinder Singh (48th) were other scorers. For PG Arts, the lone goal came through Rahul Bansh.
The title trophy was presented to the winning team by Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia. Also present were Prof. Sanjay Singh, Ajaz Malik, HS Chib, Dr Brij Baloria, Ranjveet Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Ravish Vaid, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, PD Singh and Jai Bharat.
