KALAKOTE: To celebrate the Army Day, Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Kalakote under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force Headquarters organised a painting competition in schools at Argi, Sialsui, Songri and Mathiyani on Wednesday. The theme of competition was ‘Hamari Sena- Hamare Humsafar’. The competition was organised at various schools with an aim to provide the students a platform to showcase their skills so as to develop skills and creativity of the students thereby motivating them to take maximum benefits out of such events.
The students were excited to participate and exhibited their skills with utmost enthusiasm. The event witnessed presence of parents, teachers along with civil dignitaries. Parents and the locals have expressed their gratitude to the army for giving such an opportunity to their children.
RAJOURI: On the occasion of Army Day 2015, Rashtriya Rifles Battalions under Romeo Force organised inter School Debate Competition at Government Higher Secondary School Darhal and Saaj.
The topic for the debate was “Indian Army : Pride of the Nation in War and Peace and Women Empowerment”. The event was witnessed by a number of students, parents, teachers and prominent civilians from Darhal, Saaj and nearby villages. On the occasion Mohd Mahri, Principal Government Higher School, Darhal said that aim of organising such events was to promote educational interest in the region and create atmosphere of peace and harmony. He also extended his whole hearted support for the noble cause on the occasion. The prizes were distributed to winner and runners-up team members. He added that this will certainly encourage the children of these areas to become responsible citizens of the country.
