Chenab Textile Mills plans Rs.50 lakh aid for flood victims
KATHUA: As an initial step towards flood relief operations in the ill affected villages of Jammu and Kashmir, the management of Chenab Textile Mills (CTM) has decided to contribute by way of relief material of blankets, utensil sets, GI roofing sheets and bottles of packaged drinking water to the flood affected people of Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts of Jammu province and also to villages in Kashmir province.
Mill is planning to send relief material worth Rs.50 lakh comprising of 15,000 blankets, 20,000 bottles of packaged drinking water, 500 sets of utensils which includes Prant, two Patila, one Karchhi, six Thalis, six glasses and 12 bowls and 1,000 GI roofing sheets.
The company will contribute generously further if required in future also. The first two trucks carrying 2,000 blankets and 3,000 bottles of packaged drinking water each are being sent today to Poonch and Rajouri Districts. Mohan Lal SSP Kathua and ADC Kathua gave green signals to truck drivers at CTM premises today afternoon. This was disclosed today by the Executive President of CTM.
