Charitable trust pledges to plant one lakh saplings

JAMMU: Paying rich tributes to social reformer Master Sohan Lal Sharma on his 10th Death Anniversary, members of Master Sohan Lal Social Reforms Charitable Trust on Friday took pledge to plant one lakh saplings in coming season in Raipur-Domana Constituency.
On this occasion a community Langar was also organised outside Baba Kailakh Dev Mandir near Thathar Bantalab.
A large number of people from different walks of life paid tributes to Master Sohan Lal Sharma.
Shakti Dutt Sharma, Chairman of the Trust, said Sohan Lal was a visionary social reformer who worked for downtrodden people of society without considering their caste, creed or colour.
Trust distributed school uniforms, books to poor children, financial help to deprived girls and did many other social works.
Shakti Dutt Sharma disclosed that members of the Trust today took pledge to plant more than one lakh sapling in Kandi belt of Raipur-Domana and Nagrota constituency in coming season.
On his 10th Death Anniversary, a community Langar was organised outside Baba Kailakh Dev Mandir, Bantalab.
Mahant Rohit Shastri, Master Rampal Sharma, Sunil Raka, Sanjeev Baral, Sukhdev Singh Sarpanch Chinore, Dawarka Dutt, Radha Krishan Seth, Sahil Seth, Rahul Seth and Askar Ali were present.
