JAMMU: In the much publicised attack on Kashmir based truck in Udhampur, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Parihar framed charges under sections 120-B/302/307/435/149/427/336 RPC, read with 3/5 Explosive Substances Act against Varinder Singh, Danish, Haresh Singh, Sindoor Singh, Rahul Sharma, Rameshwar Singh, Balram Singh, Ameet Singh, Rohit Sharma and Jasbir Singh whereas Court discharged Vikas Sharma at the stage of framing charges.
According to the case that accused, in furtherance of criminal conspiracy under a well thought plan, allegedly attacked Kashmir based vehicles, during the intervening night of 9th October, 2015, at around 11.45 pm, pelted stones and also threw self-made petrol bombs, thereby causing serious and grave injuries to occupants traveling in truck No.JK03D/1142; one of them Zahid Ahmed succumbed to fatal injuries on 18.10.2015; during investigation, statements of witnesses under section 164-A/161 Cr.P.C were recorded, the forensic expert scanned the site of occurrence, accused were arrested their call details obtained from service provider; on the basis of evidence collected, it was found that all accused, in furtherance of well thought criminal conspiracy and with the intention to commit murder, had attacked Kashmir based truck drivers at Udhampur.
