JAMMU: Police on Tuesday arrested two chain snatchers and recovered stolen chain from their possession.
Under operation Meghdoot, Gandhi Nagar Police arrested two chain snatchers namely Satnam Singh, son of Kartar Singh, resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab at present Digiana and Shubam Choudhary, son of Balvinder Choudhary, resident of Badyal Brahmana at present Digiana, Jammu and recovered gold chain snatched in case FIR No 246/2016 under Section 382 RPC of Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that one Anjali Koul, wife of V.K Koul, resident of H.No. 39-M, B/B Gandhi Nagar in her complaint stated that the snatchers were on a motorcycle bearing No. 3471 registered in Punjab and accordingly special Naka was established and today during Naka checking Police Party intercepted one motorcycle bearing Regd. No. PB06G/ 3471 and driver of the motorcycle namely Satnam Singh during sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case and on his discloser his other associate namely Shubam Choudhary was arrested and snatched gold chain worth Rs 30,000 were also recovered.
The recovery was made by a team headed by Inspector Bishnesh Kumar SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar and Sub Inspector Vicky Thapa under the close supervision of Sachin Gupta SDPO City South and Shazaad Salaria SP City South Jammu.
