Bungling in Class IV recruitment
JAMMU: Suspecting bungling in the recruitment of Class IV employees in the Education Department, the State Vigilance Organisation on Saturday raided the office of the Chief Education Officer, Jammu and seized the entire record.
Jammu SVO SSP Rupinder Kumar Chalotra said, “We have seized the record to look into allegations of mass level bungling in the selection process. Entire recruitment records including the forms, advertisement notices and interview details have been seized.”
Chalotra said that a complaint was received in SVO, wherein the complainants, who were aspirants for the posts of Class-IV employees in Education Department, Jammu alleged that their names were not considered against their categories and were instead shown in open merit in the selection list, due to which they could not be selected for the notified posts.
The complainants also alleged that Chief Education Officer, Jammu has deliberately kept 40 points for interview instead of 20 points and thus violated rules and regulations to confer undue benefit to the favorite candidates. They have accused the CEO of abusing his official position.
“There are several other complaints with regard to class fourth appointments in the Education Department”, added SSP Chalotra.
On the basis of complaints received, a raid was conducted by SVO team.
