CCI honours Jammu Players who brought laurels at International Roller Hockey Championship

JAMMU: Chamber of Commerce & Industry in a glittering function held today at Chamber House felicitated and honored Jammu Players who participated and brought laurels at International Roller Hockey Championship held at MACAU(China) on 27 to 31 July 2023. The players present include under 19 age group Silver Medalists Aryan Gupta and Under 14age group Bronze Medalists Vinayak Bhagat, Hridyansh Chib, Zayafat John, Mridul Kohli, Namish Gupta, Dhruv Sadhotra, Kyran Gupta, Aarush Jain,Tabid Hussain and Daanial Butt. Speaking at the occasion Arun Gupta said that he feels proud to honour young International Players of Jammu who donned Indian Jersey and played brilliantly and won Medals. Jammu had the unique distinction of sending 11 young boys to this International event. He said that there is one more reason to celebrate this event as one of the bronze medalist Namish Gupta is grandson of our Sr. Member and former Secretary General Prithvi Raj Gupta. He appreciated the courage of parents who sent the their young wards of even 10 plus year old thousands of miles away to play International Matches and these young brave hearts keeping their cool against heavy odds won the matches and got the deserved medals. He appreciated and acknowledged the strenuous efforts put up by Krish Gupta, Kamal Anand, Jatin Sabharbal, Jugraj Singh, Darpan Gandotra, Rupinder Singh and Ankush Gupta for preparing these youngsters for this International Event. On the occasion Mementos were presented and sweets were distributed to the Players. Arun Gupta advised the players to keep up the momentum through perseverance determination and dedication. The nation expects much more from them and hoped they shall bring more laurels in futures to make Jammu and India proud. He assured that Chamber will render all possible assistants to promote sports in Jammu. Rajesh Gupta Secretary CCI presented the Vote of Thanks.
