CBSE Workshop organised at JK Public School Kunjwani

JAMMU: A two-day workshop on ‘Capacity Building Programme on Mathematics-Class X’ under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), commenced in the JK Public School Kunjwani’s Multipurpose Hall.
As tradition the programme started with lighting of lamp and ‘Saraswati Vandana.’
S.K Singh Principal, JK Public School, welcomed the resource persons and teachers.
Later on, Brig. Sukhdev Singh, Director JK Educational Society addressed the teachers. He emphasised on the role of teachers to inculcate the aptitude for mathematics as every child has a capability if he is shown a right way.
Taking ahead the session resource person from CBSE Dapender Kour, Principal Guru Harkishan Public School, Majitha, Amritsar focused on mathematics and said that a teacher should share his part of learning and make mathematics interesting and easy for the students.
Other resource person from CBSE Trilok Singh Bist, Principal Jodhamal Public School, Jammu encouraged on discussion and connecting mathematics in day to day life.
He focused on practicing, revising and developing a strong base for the students.
The sessions were conducted through group work, activities and discussion.
The areas covered were teaching of mathematics, planning to teach, gender sensitisation and hands on experience.
