Cabinet approves 6 pc DA, hikes pension to old, TMA*Sanctions 4 more Women police stations

JAMMU: The Cabinet on Monday approved the release of Dearness Allowance installment at 6 per cent of pay, sanctioned additional pension for old pensioners/family pensioners on attaining the age of 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100 years and sanctioned the creation of four Women Police Stations, one each in district Anantnag, Baramulla, Rajouri and Udhampur.
The Cabinet decision would raise the total Dearness Allowance of the State Government employees from 113 per cent to 119 per cent, with effect from 1st July, 2015.

The arrears on account of additional installment from July, 2015 to 31st March, 2016 shall be credited to the individual GPF accounts of government employees and shall form part of the monthly salary from there onwards.
In respect of those State Government employees who continue to draw their pay and allowance in the pre-revised pay scales as per the Fifth CPC, the release of Dearness Allowance installment shall be @ 11 per cent of pay, raising the total Dearness Allowance from 223 per cent to 234 per cent with effect from 1st July, 2015.
The arrears on account of additional installment from July, 2015 to 31st March, 2016 shall be credited to the individual GPF accounts of such government employees and shall form part of the monthly salary from there onwards.
In respect of such of the State Government employees, who are governed by the New Pension Scheme, the arrears on account of additional installment from July 2015 to 31st March, 2016 shall be paid in cash in month of April 2016 and the employees’ share at 10 per cent shall be deducted at source and credited to their PRAN numbers along with the matching share by the employer. Thereafter, the enhancement in the DA by 6 per cent shall form part of the monthly salary.
Enhancement in DA will also apply to the work charged/whole time contingent paid employees, working in a regular time scale.
This increase will apply, mutatis-mutandis, in the case of All India Service Officers, serving in connection with the affairs of the State.
The Cabinet also approved release of the Dearness Allowance installment at 6 per cent, raising the total Dearness Allowance of the State Government pensioners/ family pensioners from 113 per cent to 119 per cent, with effect from 1st July, 2015. The arrears on account of the enhanced rate of Dearness Allowance from July, 2015 to 31ST March, 2016, shall be paid to them in cash in the month of April, 2016 and shall form part of the monthly pension/family pension there onwards.
The Cabinet approved the revision in Temporary Move Allowance (TMA) from existing rate of Rs 1,500 per month to Rs 2,000 per month, with effect from, 1st April 2016.
The Cabinet also sanctioned the enhancement of Move TA from existing rate of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per employee per move, effective, from annual move of Durbar from Jammu to Srinagar in April 2016.
The Cabinet also sanctioned additional pension for old pensioners/family pensioners on attaining the age of 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100 years and shall be payable from the 1st of the month in which the pensioner attains the prescribed age. This additional pension  shall be paid after the pensioner completes the age of 80 years, 85 Years etc. Dearness relief shall also be payable on the additional Pension.
The Cabinet also sanctioned the creation of four Women Police Stations, one each in district Anantnag, Baramulla, Rajouri and Udhampur.
The Cabinet also sanctioned creation of 208 posts for these four Women Police Stations i.e 52 posts for each Women Police Station. The 208 posts include four posts of Inspector, four posts of Sub-Inspector, eight posts of Assistant Sub-Inspector, 24 posts of Head Constable, 136 posts of Constable and 32 posts of Follower.
Presently, two Women Police Stations are functional one each at Srinagar and Jammu exclusively run by women police officers/staff. Besides four Women Cells are functioning, one each at district Anantnag, Baramulla, Rajouri and Udhampur on internal arrangement basis. brought back on track. The sources said the eight members of Governing Board, also comprising officials from the HRD ministry and the State Government, were apprised of the current situation and incidents that had taken place last week after India lost the T-20 world cup semi-final cricket match to West Indies.
They were told that examinations were being held from today and that some of the outstation students who could not write their papers would be appearing at a later date
Meanwhile, the main gate of NIT on Monday witnessed drama after Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena president Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga attempted to hoist a flag on the front gate of the institute.
“Bagga and his two associates were detained by the Jammu and Kashmir Police while they were trying to enter the National Institute of Technology here,” a senior police officer said.
Reports said Bagga, who reached outside the NIT in Hazratbal area, wanted to enter the NIT campus to unfurl the Tricolour and show solidarity with the striking outstation students.
