JAMMU: Suspected burglars struck the house of a neuro psychiatrist at Ambphalla by decamping with cash worth Rs 35 lakh and jewellery weighing 38 Tolas on Saturday night. All the family members were sleeping at the time of theft.
Neuro psychiatrist Dr Kulbhushan Sharma said that he has kept such a huge amount of money and jewellery at home for undergoing kidney transplant. “The burglars made entry by breaking open a window and ransacked the house before decamping with cash amounting to Rs 35 lakh, 38 Tolas gold and 200 grams of Silver”, he claimed.
A case vide FIR No 94/2015 under Section 457 and 380 has been registered at Police Post Rehari for further investigation.
